In case you needed more evidence that the minimalist interior movement is over and maximalism is well and truly in, just take a look at the most exciting homeware collaboration to hit any self-respecting millennial woman's life.
You see, interiors dreamboats Habitat have collaborated with Shrimps designer Hannah Weiland on a new line of home furnishings and it's available from today! Of course, anyone with even a passing understanding of Shrimps will know without looking that there's no minimalism to be found here at all.
The line pays homage to the early designs of Shrimps. There is, of course, faux fur – one of Shrimps' brand staples. It comes in the form of Breton striped cushions, bedspreads and throws – just like the first coat Hannah designed.
There's plenty of other returns to popular designs as well. The Doodle clutch bag from the Resort 2017 collection has made its way onto a rug, and the Venezia print from SS18 is now available as a whole duvet set.

"Doodle first appeared as a clutch bag in my Resort 2017 collection. Inspired by nursery rhymes and make-believe creatures, the soft colour palette reminds me of the colours in my favourite dreams. Here we’ve used a highly detailed embroidery technique with a lustre thread to give a delicate, ethereal sheen which adds to the dreamlike feel."
Doodle Embroidered Cushion, £70

"Dory was one of the first Shrimps doodle characters that I designed. With her red pigtails and freckle face, she is sweet as well as chic, and – as she is practically a Shrimps founder – here we’ve given her, her very own cushion. This design uses a couch stitch technique – a form of crewelwork embroidery that gives a luxe, textured effect. The cushion is finished with a contrasting bright red reverse."
Dory Embroidered Cushion, £70

"This is a classic pattern from our archive – one that fans of Shrimps will know well! – as all of my hand-drawn characters come together to create one big Shrimps family. In a coordinated soft pink colour palette, the faces are screen printed by hand onto a linen base for a relaxed, casual look with a pink piped edge."
Faces Screen Printed Cushion, £50

"Faux fur is at the heart of Shrimps. The first coat that I designed was made from Breton striped faux fur so it's been a lot of fun to translate this idea and take it from the wardrobe into the home. A bit of crazy-luxe indulgence, we’ve opted for this in two sizes that both make statement impact with pink, red and blue stripes in a seriously sumptuous faux fur."
Bridget Breton Faux Fur Cushion, £45-£60

"Inspired by a beautiful embroidered fabric used in our SS18 collection, I love the delicateness of these geometric shapes in pink and red stitch – a favourite colour combination of mine. We chose a more relaxed natural linen base for this cushion which gives a nice contrast to the formality of the pattern."
Viola Embroidered Linen Cushion, £60

"A romantic trip to Venice inspired this whimsical hero print from our SS18 collection with a festival of architecture, seashells and Venetian jesters. We’ve used digital printing here to capture the pink watercolour from my original artwork and translate it directly onto a cotton percale base. Each duvet cover and pillow case is embroidered with a red cord surround to give each a decorative border and luxe finish."
Venezia Bedding, £30-£120

"This is a real statement piece – hand-tufted and hand-carved by a small workshop in India, this is the Doodle clutch bag from our Resort 2017 collection taken to a large scale. The hand carving gives the rug's doodles different heights, giving them stand out from the floor. Excitingly this is also the first time Habitat has used gold thread in a rug which adds really magical detailing."
Doodle Hand Carved Rug, £450

"This lightweight dhurrie is handmade in India and uses a traditional screen print method to apply our Shrimps characters. A hard-wearing cotton base means this is great for all areas of the home and can be easily moved around. It also looks rather fantastic hanging on a wall as a piece of dramatic art."
Faces Screen Printed Flat Weave Rug, £70

"The gigantic faux fur bedspread is the equivalent of about 10 of our Shrimps fur coats sewn together and is an absolute dream. Like their cushion counterparts, both throw and bedspread add a bit of eccentric-luxe to bedroom or lounge."
Bridget Breton Striped Faux Fur Throw And Bedspread, £130-£295
